These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of ExcelToWords offered by Kognit doo (“we,” “us”). By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

We provide an online tool to merge data from spreadsheets into Word templates and produce downloadable documents. Output quality depends on your data and templates. The service is provided “as is” and “as available.”

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may sign in with a password or with Google; security obligations apply in either case.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, including by uploading malware, attempting unauthorized access, disrupting the service, infringing others’ rights, or using the service for unlawful purposes. You must not upload personal data about others unless you are legally permitted to do so.

4. Your content

You retain rights to files you upload. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit that content solely to provide the service. You represent that you have the rights and lawful basis needed for the content you upload.

5. Processing, retention, and downloads

Files are processed temporarily. Generated files may be available for download for a limited period and may be deleted automatically. Do not rely on us for long-term storage or backup.

6. Subscriptions, fees, and payment

Paid features may require a subscription processed by Paddle. Fees, billing cycles, taxes, and payment methods are presented at checkout and may change with notice where required. Failed payments or chargebacks may result in suspension of paid features. Refunds, if any, are governed by applicable law and the processor’s policies—see also our Pricing page for current plans.

7. Plan limits

We may enforce technical limits (such as maximum upload size, rows processed per run, or successful runs per billing period). Limits are described in the product and configuration; we may adjust them to protect the service.

8. Free and trial use

Features available without a subscription may be more limited. The same acceptable-use and content rules apply.

9. Third-party services

Your use of Google sign-in or the payment processor is also subject to their terms and privacy policies.

10. Intellectual property

We own the service software, branding, and documentation (excluding your content). You may not copy, reverse engineer, or resell the service except as allowed by law.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee error-free or uninterrupted operation.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.

13. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your misuse of the service, or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

14. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, risk to security, or legal requirements. You may stop using the service at any time. To request closure of your account or deletion of personal data, contact us using the email below.

15. Changes

We may modify these Terms. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Where required, we will provide additional notice. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Configure governing law jurisdiction with counsel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections apply.

17. Disputes

Disputes shall be resolved in accordance with the laws and venue set out in these Terms, subject to mandatory consumer protections where applicable. Replace this text with counsel-approved wording.
